BayRun is Sydney’s much-loved family fun run, set around the scenic Iron Cove bay in the city’s Inner West. The event features a flat and fast 7km loop that passes through leafy waterfront suburbs and over the Iron Cove Bridge, with a 2km kids’ dash also available for younger participants.
Known for its relaxed community atmosphere, BayRun attracts runners, walkers, families, school groups and competitive participants alike. The course is widely regarded as pram- and wheelchair-friendly, making it accessible to a broad range of entrants.
The event takes place in August and includes a start and finish near Leichhardt Oval. It’s a popular way to enjoy Sydney’s harbour and bay-side scenery while taking part in an active, community-focused morning.
