Join the BMA CQ Rescue Charity Fun Run on Sunday, 2 August 2026 to support the community-funded rescue helicopter service in Mackay, Queensland, where every stride counts toward lifesaving missions.
Participants can choose from scenic 5km (run or walk), 7.78km, and 10km routes along the picturesque Bluewater Trail, all starting and finishing at Iluka Park. The out-and-back courses offer stunning views of the waterfront, with the 5km turning near the Mackay Waterfront Precinct and the 10km crossing Forgan Bridge before heading to Harbour Road.
The event precinct will be open from 6:00 am to 9:00 am at Iluka Park, with support squads providing hydration and energy to keep you moving. Race times are 6:30 am for the 10km, 7:00 am for the 7.78km, and 7:30 am for the 5km. All proceeds help keep the rescue helicopter flying.
Registrations are now open, and race packs can be collected from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday, 31 July, at the BMA CQ Rescue Hangar located at Mackay Airport. Lace up your shoes and join this vibrant community event!
