About this event
Good Form Rowing gives students a hands-on way to try rowing on Middle Harbour during the school holidays, with sessions based at Mosman Rowing Club near the Spit Bridge. The program is aimed at secondary school students who want to build confidence, improve fitness, make friends and learn the basics of rowing in a supervised club environment.
Try Rowing on Sydney Harbour
Students row from Mosman Rowing Club at The Spit Reserve, a protected Middle Harbour location used for junior, beginner and squad rowing. Good Form Rowing works with Mosman Rowing Club to run learn-to-row and underage development programs, giving new rowers a pathway from their first strokes through to regular recreational or squad rowing.
Who It Suits
The holiday program is suited to students in Years 7 to 12, including complete beginners. No previous rowing experience is needed, and the official program information says equipment is provided. It is a good fit for teenagers who want to try a new sport, stay active during the school break, or explore rowing before committing to a regular squad.
What Students Learn
Good Form Rowing's beginner pathway introduces students to boat handling, safety, basic rowing technique, rhythm, teamwork, communication, fitness and water confidence. The holiday sessions are designed to be safe, supportive and professionally coached, with a focus on helping young rowers enjoy the sport while learning good habits on and off the water.
Holiday Session Credits
Holiday rowing is booked through session credits. The organiser lists a single holiday rowing credit at $40, with multi-session packs also available for families who want to book more than one session. Places are limited, and families should use the booking options on this event page to check current availability and secure a place.
