About this event

Toowoon Bay Ocean Swim is a welcoming Central Coast open-water swimming event held at the sheltered, reef-protected waters of Toowoon Bay in Bateau Bay. Hosted by Toowoon Bay Surf Life Saving Club, the event supports water safety and rescue equipment, as well as educational programs.

Taking place on Saturday, 28 November 2026, the swim offers three distances to suit a range of abilities:

400m swim, including junior events for swimmers aged from eight years
1km swim for participants aged 11 years and over
2km swim for participants aged 12 years and over

The shorter course provides an accessible introduction to ocean swimming, while the 1km and 2km events offer greater challenges for confident and experienced swimmers. Registration and late entries open at 7am, with swims scheduled throughout the morning before a Dash for Dinner event at 11am.
