About this event
The Hallora Marathon Festival is a regional running, walking and cycling event in Warragul, supporting the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. It brings together a range of distances and formats to suit different ages and abilities, with the main festival atmosphere centred around Warragul’s event hub.
The festival includes a marathon and 24km run that start from Hallora and finish in Warragul, plus shorter community events such as 16km, 8km and 5km walk/run options. A Kids Dash is also part of the program, making it a family-friendly day out for participants and supporters alike.
Cycle events are held on Saturday, including a kids bike ride that uses a lap of the Wild Dog Triathlon Club course. The main walk/run/ride program follows on Sunday, with the festival designed to encourage participation, fitness and community spirit across the weekend.
Race information for the 2026 event indicates that the longer distance events start at Hallora Recreation Reserve, while the shorter events begin and finish in Warragul. The festival is staged as a local celebration of endurance sport, with marshals, signage and a finish-line atmosphere that supports participants through to the end.
