About this event
Hills to Henley River Run on Sunday, 26 July 2026, is a scenic running and walking event formerly known as the Greenbelt Challenge.
Participants can choose from a 30km Half Marathon, 10km, or 5km distance, all following sealed off-road trails through Linear Park along the River Torrens (Karrawirra Parri) from Athelstone to Henley Beach.
The 30km and Half Marathon start at Athelstone Primary School, while the 10km and 5km begin at Bonython Park. Due to the Torrens to Darlington Project closing the Linear Trail under South Road, the 2026 event will finish at Bonython Park instead of Henley Beach.
Organised by the South Australian Road Runners and Walkers Club (SARRC), this event is open to everyone—club membership is not required.
Join us for a peaceful, mostly flat journey that blends nature, history, and the thrill of the river guiding you toward the coast.
