About this event
The Kedumba Half is a challenging trail running event held at Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains on Sunday, 14 February 2027. The event offers a 21km half-marathon course and a 10km option, with both routes starting near the former Queen Victoria Hospital at the end of Tablelands Road.
The half-marathon follows the Kedumba Firetrail on an out-and-back journey into Kedumba Valley. Runners descend through the valley, cross the river and then tackle the sustained climb back to the finish. The course features views across the Jamison Valley, Kedumba Valley, Kedumba Walls and towards Mount Solitary, combining fast downhill sections with a demanding return ascent.
The 10km course heads 5km down the firetrail before turning around, while the 21km course continues into the valley before returning along the same route. Both courses are marked, with marshals positioned at key points. Aid stations provide water, electrolyte drinks, fruit and lollies, and participants must carry at least 500ml of water from the start.
With steep changes in elevation, uneven firetrail surfaces, a river crossing and a long climb back to the finish, the Kedumba Half is suited to experienced trail runners and participants prepared for a demanding Blue Mountains course.
