About this event
Kilcunda Trail Running Festival is a coastal trail-running event in Kilcunda on Victoria’s Bass Coast, featuring scenic courses across grassy slopes, sandy beaches, clifftops overlooking the Southern Ocean and nearby green fields.
As part of SingleTrack’s Running Wild series, the festival offers four distances to suit a range of abilities:
- 21 km: approximately 501 metres of elevation gain, with a four-hour cut-off; participants must be at least 16 years old on event day.
- 17 km: approximately 470 metres of elevation gain, with a four-hour cut-off; participants must be at least 12 years old on event day.
- 10 km: with a two-and-a-half-hour cut-off; participants must be at least 12 years old on event day.
- 5 km: with a one-and-a-half-hour cut-off.
The varied terrain combines beach running, grassy coastal tracks, rail-trail sections and clifftop single track, creating a challenging and memorable way to experience the Bass Coast landscape.
The event village is located at the nature reserve opposite the Kilcunda Ocean View Hotel. The festival takes place on Sunday, 31 January 2027.
