- Half Course: approximately 250 kilometres, including about 50 kilometres of trekking, 130 kilometres of mountain biking and 50 kilometres of kayaking.
- Team formats: teams of two or four competitors.
- Race format: non-stop expedition racing, with teams required to remain together throughout the course.
- Course timeframe: the Full Course is open for up to six days, while leading teams are expected to finish in about three days. Half Course teams are expected to take approximately 48 hours.
