About this event
Lift the Load For Mental Health is an October mental health awareness event designed to make invisible mental health struggles visible. Participants walk, run, or roll 50km across October while carrying a 10kg VETO Sports weighted vest, creating conversations about boys and young men's mental health.
Some weight is invisible. For many boys and young men, poor mental health can look like silence, pressure, anger, isolation, or shutting down. This October for Mental Health Month, we're making that weight seen. The vest represents the invisible burden many young men carry, sparking real conversations and raising awareness.
The event supports Top Blokes Foundation's mentoring programs, which provide safe spaces for boys and young men to talk, build resilience, strengthen relationships, and feel supported. You don't have to be the fittest person—you just have to start. Walk before work, run on weekends, roll with friends, or break it into small chunks. Do 50km across October in a way that works for you, whether solo or as part of a team.
Raise $150 to receive your VETO Sports Lift the Load vest, plus a limited edition Top Blokes cap and loyalty wristband. Register early and become part of a movement supporting young men's mental health. The need is urgent but not always visible—that's why early, practical, and relationship-based support matters.
