Newcastle Cross Country: King of the Mountain

Description
Newcastle Cross Country Club's King of the Mountain is an annual 25km off-road endurance run held at Mount Sugarloaf, West Wallsend, NSW. Participants race along scenic bush tracks and fire trails, starting from the summit of Mt Sugarloaf, descending to Wakefield, and returning via the same route.
The event features aid stations along the course and offers hot soup to finishers, providing both challenge and community spirit for trail runners.
Open to both members and non-members, the race welcomes all competitors aged 18 and over. Registration and payment are required online by the Friday before the event, with on-site check-in closing at 11:30 AM. The race commences at 12 noon.
