About this event
The Perth Kilt Run is a quirky community fun run held as part of Armadale’s major Scottish gathering in Perth’s south-east. It is known as Australia’s only fun run done in a kilt and is promoted as a Guinness World Record holder for the largest kilted race.
Runners can choose from a 2.5km Classic or 5km Warrior course, with kilts available when registering. The event also includes a dog-friendly wave for the Classic distance, while the longer route features some incline and steps.
Beyond the run itself, the day forms part of WA’s largest Scottish festival, with pipe bands, Highland dancing, Scottish clans, entertainment, heavy events, a medieval village and other family-friendly activities. The program also includes children’s activities and Canadian Haggis Hurling.
It is a free community event, with the run requiring registration. The course is based at Minnawarra Park in Armadale.
