About this event
Ramsay Health Care Lake Mac Run is a long-running community race held on the Lake Macquarie foreshore at Warners Bay, with a history stretching back to 1984. The event features a flat, traffic-free course along The Esplanade between Warners Bay and Speers Point, making it suitable for runners of all levels.
Participants can choose from three distances: a half marathon, a 10.5km fun run and a 4km family scamper. The half marathon follows multiple loops of the course, while the shorter events use the same scenic foreshore setting for a welcoming race-day experience.
Finisher medals, race shirts and a family-friendly festival atmosphere are part of the appeal, with the event widely recognised as one of New South Wales’ oldest running events. Road race infrastructure includes timing chips, supervised baggage collection, course aid stations and first aid support.
The event is run as a foreshore road race and has a strong local following, with parking and access arrangements centred around the Warners Bay area. Footmotion is the naming sponsor.
