About this event
The Rottnest Channel Swim is a 19.7km open water swim from Cottesloe Beach to Rottnest Island, and it is widely regarded as one of the world’s major open water events.
Held each February, it attracts solo swimmers and relay teams, with competitors taking on the crossing through the waters off Perth in Western Australia.
The event is known for its strong international reputation and for drawing some of the best open water swimmers, while also welcoming dedicated club and recreational participants.
Its course finishes on Rottnest Island, making it both a serious endurance challenge and a distinctive destination event.
