About this event

Sandman 50 is a 50km beach run from Old Dunsborough to Busselton Jetty and back, set along the ocean’s edge in Dunsborough, Western Australia. The course is run on low tide under a full moon, with the route staying close to the waterline for most of the race.

The next edition begins at 2am on Saturday 23 January 2027. Runners can enter as solo competitors or as teams of two, with each team member covering 25km and changing over at Busselton Jetty.

This event is designed for experienced runners looking for a distinctive overnight endurance challenge on the coast, with the beach setting and early-morning start creating a unique race atmosphere.
