About this event
She Paddles Level 1: Werribee brings Outside Adventures' beginner women-only kayaking course to the Werribee River Canoe Launching Deck at Riverbend Historical Park. It is a five-week introduction for new paddlers who want to learn the basics in a supportive setting.
Werribee Sunday Series
This course runs on Sundays from 15 November to 13 December 2026, 9:00am to 10:30am. Sessions are 90 minutes and use calm-water conditions to build confidence, safety awareness and basic paddling control.
Learn From the Start
No kayaking experience is required for Level 1. The class introduces the essential skills needed to paddle a sit-on-top kayak in calm enclosed water, making it suitable for complete beginners or people wanting a structured refresher.
Women-Only Learning Environment
The She Paddles program is designed for women and non-binary participants aged 18 and over. Outside Adventures describes the classes as friendly, confidence-building and social, with female instructors supporting participants through each step.
Included Gear and What to Bring
The $289 course price covers five sessions. Kayaks, paddles, helmets and lifejackets are provided during class. Participants should bring water, a towel, a change of clothes, a warm layer if needed, suitable wet-weather clothing, closed-toe shoes and any personal medication.
Booking and Conditions
Bookings are made through Outside Adventures. The organiser notes that kayaking sessions may be postponed or adjusted if weather or water conditions are outside safe operating limits.
