About this event
Try slowpitch softball under the lights at Fawkner Park with Melbourne Softball Association's free Come N Try nights for new and returning players. These sessions are designed for people aged 16+ who want to get active, learn the basics, meet people and see how mixed-team slowpitch softball works in a relaxed setting.
Six Evening Sessions
The come-and-try nights run from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on October 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 and 29 at the Fawkner Park Softball Diamonds in South Yarra. Participants can choose the session that suits them and get a practical introduction to the game on the diamonds used by the local softball community.
All Abilities Welcome
No previous softball experience is needed. The nights are open to all abilities and focus on helping people learn to play, build confidence and enjoy a social team sport. Slowpitch softball is a welcoming format for beginners because it gives players time to hit, field and understand the rhythm of the game.
Get Fit, Have Fun and Meet People
The sessions suit adults and older teens looking for a friendly way to be active after work or study. Mixed teams are part of the program, making it a good option for people who want a social sport as much as a fitness activity.
Registration
The event is free to attend. Register in advance using the contact options on this event page so the organiser can plan for attendance.
