About this event
Snow Gum Run is an alpine trail-running event at Mount Baw Baw, Victoria, held above 1,500 metres in the pristine sub-alpine environment of the Victorian Alps.
With seven distances available, the event offers options for a wide range of abilities:
- 1km kids trail
- 4km trail
- 7km trail
- 15km trail
- 21km trail
- 35km trail
- Marathon
The shorter courses provide an accessible introduction to alpine trail running, while the longer routes offer a more demanding challenge through snow-gum forests, open ridgelines and the rugged landscapes of Baw Baw National Park. Longer-distance courses include trails towards Mount St Gwinear and Mushroom Rocks.
All races start and finish in the Mount Baw Baw village area. Participants should be prepared for changeable alpine conditions, uneven trail surfaces and significant elevation. Mandatory gear requirements apply, so entrants should check the official event information and prepare the required equipment before race day.
