The Sturt Gorge Trail Run in South Australia is a highlight of the On The Trails Running Series, set amidst the natural beauty of Sturt Gorge Recreation Park.
Runners and walkers alike can enjoy varied courses featuring winding single-track paths, woodland slopes, native bushland, and flowing creeks. The route includes scrambling over boulders and scenic creek lines, with spectacular views of the surrounding hillsides.
Participants should expect creek crossings where wet feet are likely, and after heavy rain, striking waterfalls may appear along Magpie Gully.
The event offers multiple race distances to suit all levels: short, medium, and long courses, with an additional extra-long option at the series finale. Walkers are welcome on all short-distance routes, making this event accessible to beginners, seasoned trail runners, and everyone in between.
