SWA Open Water Series — Big Ocean Relay is a team ocean-swimming event at Swanbourne Beach, forming Round 9 of the Swimming WA Open Water Series. Teams of four can choose between a 2 km relay, with each swimmer completing a 500 m leg, or a 4 km relay, with each swimmer completing a 1,000 m leg.
The event offers a fast-paced format centred on teamwork, shared pacing and smooth changeovers. It is suited to groups of friends, families and swimming clubs looking to take part in a competitive yet social open-water challenge along the Western Australian coast.
