About this event

Swanny Ocean Classic is a Perth summer tradition and a fixture on Western Australia’s ocean-swimming calendar. The point-to-point event starts at Cottesloe Beach and finishes at Swanbourne Beach, following the coastline past the historic Indiana Tearooms.

The 2km ocean swim offers a scenic challenge in the waters of the Indian Ocean, with swimmers supported by the Swanbourne Nedlands Surf Life Saving Club. The course finishes at Swanbourne Beach, near the Swanny Patrol Tower.

Held on Saturday, 6 February 2027, the event welcomes experienced ocean swimmers and first-time participants alike. Its community atmosphere, coastal setting and iconic route make it a popular part of Perth’s summer sporting calendar.
