The Coogee round of the Swimming WA Open Water Swimming Series brings swimmers to Perth’s southern coastline for a summer ocean-swimming challenge suited to a wide range of abilities. As part of the 2026–27 series, the event is scheduled for 21–22 November 2026 and is one of nine rounds held across Perth and regional Western Australia.
Distances range from 500 metres to 10 kilometres, giving participants the choice of a short introduction to open-water swimming, a middle-distance challenge or a longer test of endurance. The series welcomes swimmers from amateur to professional level, with age groups spanning from children through to older adults.
Coogee Beach provides a scenic coastal setting for a morning in the water, while the event format offers an opportunity to compete, build confidence and enjoy the atmosphere of a large community swimming series. Whether the goal is to pursue a personal best, collect series points or simply take part in an organised ocean swim, the Coogee round offers a memorable way to experience open-water swimming in Western Australia.
