Swimrun Australia: Melbourne
Event location
Description
Swimrun Australia returns to Melbourne on Saturday, 14 March 2026, featuring a scenic course along the Bay Trail from Beaumaris to Brighton.
This dynamic adventure race combines multiple trail running and open water swimming segments into one continuous challenge, with no transitions or gear changes. Participants run in their swimwear and swim wearing their shoes, carrying all their equipment from start to finish. Approximately 80% of the course is running, with swim sections providing refreshing breaks to reset.
Competitors will navigate varied terrain including soft sand, off-road trails, and coastal paths, while swimming in the calm waters of Port Phillip Bay. Two distances are available to suit different levels of experience: a shorter Discovery course and a longer Enduro course.
Racers can enter as solo competitors or, for the Enduro distance, as teams of two who must complete the course together, supporting one another through the diverse terrain to reach the finish line.
Distances:
Discovery: 4K (5 Legs) - solo
Total Swim: 800m
Total Run: 3.2K
