Get ready for an unforgettable evening at the Sydney Miracle Moon Walk, a family-friendly fundraising walk through Sydney under the stars. The event brings the community together to support Miracle Babies Foundation and families of premature or critically ill babies throughout their hospital journey.

- Event Hub opens: 3:00 pm
- Walk starts: 5:00 pm
- Distance: approximately 7 km
- Expected walking time: 1.5 to 2 hours
- Location: Sydney CBD, with the exact Event Hub location to be announced by the organiser
The route is designed as a celebration of community, laughter and good times. Clear maps will guide walkers, and there will be plenty of opportunities to take photos along the way. Families can shorten the route if younger participants become tired. The walk is suitable for all ages, prams and wheelchairs, subject to any route restrictions communicated by the organiser.
Registration and fundraising
Adult registration costs $75, while children under 12 can participate free. Adult registration includes event entry, a personalised bib, route map, Miracle Moon Walk bandana, drawstring backpack, completion medal, glow sticks, entertainment and other goodies along the way. Children under 12 do not need a paid registration and do not receive a walk pack.
After registering, each adult participant receives a personal fundraising page that can be customised and shared with family, friends, colleagues and the local community. Funds raised help Miracle Babies Foundation provide support to families during their hospital journey. The organiser notes that $147 can provide one additional family with full support throughout that journey.
What to expect
Arrive from 3:00 pm to enjoy the Event Hub before the walk begins at 5:00 pm. Expect entertainment, glow-themed activities, treats and plenty of fun from arrival through to the close of the event. Participants are encouraged to dress in teal and purple and share photos using #miraclemoonwalk.
Children can join the purple or green dress-up competition for the chance to win a $200 Bright Star Kids voucher. Walkers can also purchase a Dedication Star for the event's Dedication Wall.
