About this event
Tasmania’s Gone Nuts 101 Adventure Run is a point-to-point endurance event across the spectacular north-west coast of Tasmania, starting at The Nut in Stanley and finishing at the Wynyard Yacht Club on Saturday, 6 March 2027.
The 101-kilometre course follows the coastline through varied Tasmanian landscapes, including rugged coastal bush, temperate rainforest, rolling farmland and the dramatic scenery of Rocky Cape National Park. Runners can expect sweeping views across Bass Strait, native wildlife and birdlife, and challenging terrain shaped by the region’s volcanic coastline.
The route continues around Table Cape before reaching the finish in Wynyard. Its final 25-kilometre section includes private land that is not normally accessible to the public, making race day a rare opportunity to experience this coastline on foot. The Boat Harbour Beach to Table Cape section is a standout part of the course, combining coastal scenery with a strong sense of adventure.
The 101-kilometre event is available to individual runners and teams of two, three or four. Additional race distances include 75 kilometres, 50 kilometres and 25 kilometres, with team options available for selected distances. Generous cut-off times are intended to make the event accessible to a broad range of participants, including those who prefer to walk sections of the course.
Finish-line festivities are planned at Wynyard Yacht Club on Saturday afternoon and evening, with race presentations held at the club. The event offers a memorable way to experience Tasmania’s north-west coast, from the iconic start at The Nut to the dramatic finish near Table Cape and Wynyard.
