About this event
The Georges River Festival of the Feet is a community running event held around Lake Gillawarna in Mirrambeena Regional Park, Georges Hall. Hosted by Western Districts Joggers & Harriers, the event follows scenic off-road routes along the Georges River and around the lake, passing through natural parkland, wetlands and bushland.
Participants can choose from four distances: a 3km family event, 7km, 14km or a 21.1km half marathon. The courses use paved pathways with short grass sections, including the start and finish area, and offer options for families, recreational runners and experienced competitors.
The event starts and finishes near the Western Districts Joggers & Harriers clubhouse, approximately 150 metres west of the pedestrian bridge over Henry Lawson Drive, between Flinders Road and Georges Crescent. Start times are scheduled progressively, with the half marathon commencing first, followed by the 14km, 7km and 3km events.
Online registrations close on the afternoon before race day. On-the-day entries are accepted until 30 minutes before the relevant event start, subject to availability.
The 2027 Festival of the Feet will be held on Sunday, 11 July at Lake Gillawarna, Georges Hall, New South Wales.
