The Guzzler Ultra is Brisbane’s own trail ultra, set on a scenic off-road course that begins in the Mt Coot-tha area and winds through D’Aguilar National Park before returning for a finish-line celebration near the city’s trail network. The event features multiple distances, including a 100km ultra, with the longer course covering approximately 105km and significant elevation gain across reservoir country and forest trails.
The route is designed to showcase Brisbane’s history-rich reservoirs and accessible bushland, with runners passing locations such as Enoggera Reservoir, Gold Creek Reservoir and Lake Manchester. The terrain is mostly off-road and makes use of the city’s well-known trail running areas, offering a challenging but rewarding day out for experienced runners.
The 100km event is scheduled across 17 to 18 July 2027, while the 50km event is set for Saturday, 17 July 2027. The race is recognised as a qualifier for major trail running categories, and the course includes aid and support points along the way.
