About this event

Choose one day in October 2026—or spread your effort across the month—to move for children affected by sexual exploitation and trafficking. Tread on Trafficking is a nationwide virtual fundraiser from Destiny Rescue that turns walking, running, riding, swimming, dancing, stretching, or any activity you choose into support for rescue operations and survivor care.

Give a Day. Bring Freedom.

There is no prescribed distance, speed or single activity. Pick a day and pace that suits you, or build your effort across October. Individuals can join wherever they live, while teams and community groups can take part through workplaces, churches, schools, and sports or fitness communities. The challenge is virtual, so your local route, pool, gym, studio or community space can become part of the campaign.

Fundraise for Rescue and Reintegration

Your movement supports the work of Destiny Rescue with law enforcement to identify and rescue children from exploitation, alongside reintegration programs designed to help survivors and their families build safer futures. Since Tread on Trafficking began in 2023, participants have raised more than AUD 387,000; the campaign reports that these funds have helped rescue 215 children.

Free to Join, Flexible to Complete

Participation is free. Organisers invite participants to make a donation or create a fundraising profile and ask friends, family and colleagues for support. There is no requirement to keep moving for a full 24 hours: the emphasis is on giving one chosen day of action in a way that works for you. Participants can also join or create a team to multiply their impact.

Sign Up and Start Moving

Use the registration link on this event page to create your fundraising page. Share why you are taking part, invite others to support or join you, then complete your chosen movement at any time from 1 to 31 October 2026. Whether every kilometre is walked, run or ridden—or your effort is measured in laps, stretches or repetitions—your challenge helps fund rescue work and survivor support.
