Try Dragon Boating on Iron Cove
Event location
Description
Organiser: FFB Dragon Boat Club
It's never too late to start something new. Join Sydney's friendliest adult dragon boat club right here in Lilyfield for an introduction to Dragon Boating. Get on the water and learn the basics of dragon boat paddling in a fun, friendly and FREE session run by our experienced coaching team. Sit alongside medal winning paddlers as you learn to propel our 20 seat dragon boats across Iron Cove. Whether you’re looking to get fit, compete for medals, or make a new group of friends, we have a paddle ready for you. No experience required.
How to Find Us
We're next to the Bay Run footpath between UTS Haberfield Rowing Club and Le Montage. Look out for the Green and White signage by the boat ramp on Canal Road and the 12m long Dragon Boats on the water.
Important Information
Arrive by 10:30 so we can organising the correct sized paddle for you, go through basic safety and paddling information and complete the indemnity forms before getting on the boat. If you are unable to swim 50m unaided, let us know as there are a limited number of personal flotation devices available. The session will last around one hour.
