Description
The Untamed Border Run on Saturday, 20 June 2026, offers a unique trail running experience across rarely visited areas of South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
Participants can choose from three distances: a challenging 50km ultra marathon starting at 1050 metres above sea level—just 8km from SEQ’s highest mountain—offering breathtaking panoramic views; a 21km trail run; and a 10km trail run. All courses traverse scenic farm and forestry tracks, crossing the NSW-QLD border multiple times.
This grassroots event is community-driven, with local volunteers supporting race operations and the Killarney Men’s Shed crafting finisher’s plaques. The Killarney Show Society provides wholesome food at the canteen, enhancing the welcoming atmosphere of the event.
Whether you run, walk, or skip, the Untamed Border Run invites you to immerse yourself in spectacular mountain air and stunning vistas in a vibrant, supportive setting.
