About this event
Walk4BrainCancer Virtual brings Australians together to honour loved ones, stand with families affected by brain cancer and raise funds for research aimed at improving survival and quality of life.
Walk wherever you are
Choose a 5km, 10km or 25km walk and complete it anywhere in Australia. The national virtual walk is centred on Sunday 22 November 2026, but participants who cannot walk that day may choose another date during October or November. Walk by yourself, with family and friends, or as part of a fundraising team, using a local path, park, trail or neighbourhood route that suits you.
Free registration
Entry is free for adults and children. Use the registration link on this event page to select an entry and create your participant fundraising page. Children under five may also take part for free. There is no fixed venue, so participants can choose an accessible distance and route that works for their circumstances.
Fund research for a cure
Walk4BrainCancer is a national movement led by Cure Brain Cancer Foundation. Funds raised support brain cancer research, advocacy and awareness, with the goal of increasing survival and improving quality of life for people living with the disease. Participants can dedicate their walk to someone they love, stand alongside families impacted by brain cancer, and help build national momentum for better treatments and a cure.
A national movement since 2013
Since launching in 2013, Walk4BrainCancer has grown into a nationwide movement involving thousands of Australians. The Foundation says the campaign has contributed to more than $30 million invested in brain cancer research. Its work includes supporting Australian participation in the GBM AGILE clinical trial, which is designed to improve how potential treatments for glioblastoma are tested and developed.
