About this event
Warriewood Ocean Swim is a point-to-point ocean swimming event along Sydney’s Northern Beaches, returning to Warriewood in 2027.
The approximately 1.5-kilometre course begins on the sand at Turimetta Beach and finishes at Warriewood Beach. Swimmers head through the break, round Turimetta Headland and follow the coastline past reef shelves, sandstone cliffs and the iconic Warriewood Blowhole before reaching the finish.
Previously known as the Chieftain’s Challenge, the swim offers a genuine coastal passage rather than a circuit in sheltered water. It is open to swimmers aged 15 and over and is suited to confident ocean swimmers seeking a challenging but achievable event.
A race briefing is scheduled for 9.50 am, followed by the swim start at 10 am. The event is presented by Warriewood Surf Life Saving Club.
