Set in the spectacular Blue Mountains, Wentworth Falls is a trail-running event starting and finishing at the Fairmont Resort in Leura. Runners can choose between two marked courses of approximately 11 km and 16 km, combining single-track trails, forest paths, stairs, waterfalls and expansive scenic lookouts.
The routes pass through Blue Mountains National Park and feature highlights including Lilian’s Bridge, Conservation Hut, the top of Wentworth Falls, Fletcher’s Lookout, and the Undercliff and Overcliff Tracks. The longer course includes approximately 645 metres of elevation gain, while the shorter course includes approximately 545 metres.
Runners should be prepared for varied and sometimes challenging terrain, including steep steps and sustained climbs. Aid stations provide water, fruit and electrolyte drinks, but disposable cups are not supplied, so participants must carry at least 500 ml of water from the start.
A course cut-off applies at Valley of the Waters, with runners required to reach this point within two hours. The event is held on Sunday, 21 March 2027, with the 11 km course scheduled to start at 7.30 am. Entry numbers are limited and registrations are required before race day.
