About this event
Wingello Warrior is a canicross event held on 30 May 2026 in Wingello State Forest, approximately 100km south of Campbelltown. Canicross is a sport where runners compete as a team with their dog, connected via a specialised harness, bungee cord, and running belt.
The event features two distance options:
- Short course: 3.75km (1 lap)
- Long course: 7.5km (2 laps)
Both courses start and finish near the main camping area and follow a wide forest dirt road on a dryland mushing trail. The terrain is fairly flat with minor rises and may include puddles and washed-out sections.
The event base is located approximately 4km into the forest along Forest Road, accessible by standard vehicle. Ample parking and camping facilities are available on-site. Races are conducted under official federation rules and regulations. Race start time is 2:00 PM for the long course, with the short course starting at 2:15 PM.
