Activity Details
Hill View Bushwalkers is a social walking club based in northern Sydney, with walks on most Fridays from mid-February to mid-November. Volunteer members lead walks through bushland, coastal tracks, the Blue Mountains and urban areas across Sydney and the surrounding region. Friendship, exploring new places and enjoying the outdoors are central to the club, whose membership includes many part-time workers and retired people.
Three walking groups cater for different distances and fitness:
- EZY walks are generally under 8 km, with a slower pace and easier gradients.
- Regular walks are generally under 13 km and require moderate fitness.
- Plus walks are generally 12–20 km, may include rough terrain and require good fitness.
Walkers travel by public transport or car, with carpooling where possible. The club also arranges occasional social gatherings and weekends away.

Prospective members can take part in three initial walks before applying for membership.
