Activity Details

Wanderers Bushwalking and Outdoors Club is based in Sydney’s Hills District. Its volunteer-led outings combine exploring the outdoors with friendship and an appreciation of the natural environment.

The quarterly programme includes full-day weekend activities, occasional weekday walks and social outings. Walks explore national parks, state forests, coastal tracks, urban bushland and places of interest, usually within two hours’ drive of the Hills District. The club also organises camping and accommodated trips, city walks and cycling. Car pooling is available for day walks.

Walks range from easier city and coastal routes to more demanding bushwalks. Participants must be adults, choose an activity within their capabilities and book with the walk leader. Meeting points vary by outing.

How to join

Contact the secretary using the details on this listing to register for a club meeting at Crestwood Community Centre in Baulkham Hills. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month from 8 pm. Newcomers attend a meeting, apply as prospective members and complete three walks within six months before applying for full membership.
