West Ivanhoe United Cricket Club, home of the Roosters, is a community-run sporting club offering cricket programs for kids and adults. The club prides itself on providing a fun, safe, and inclusive environment.
- Junior Cricket: The Cricket Blast program is designed for younger players using safe plastic bats and rubber cricket balls of different sizes, allowing all kids to participate and develop at their own pace. This program serves as a stepping stone to structured junior cricket matches in the highly successful junior program.
- Senior Cricket: The club fields three senior teams and welcomes new players at all skill levels. Senior members train on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Seddon Reserve starting at 6pm under the guidance of experienced coaching.
- Veterans Cricket: Over 40s and Over 50s teams compete in the Eastern Cricket Association, offering both competitive play and a strong emphasis on social engagement.
- Social Community: West Ivanhoe Cricket is a social club with frequent events throughout the season, a fully stocked bar, and regular barbecues where members share experiences after games.
New players at all age groups are always welcome. The club is run entirely by volunteers and operates as an incorporated association.
