Where to Play Pickleball in Brisbane: Clubs and Courts

If you need people to play with, browse Brisbane pickleball groups or try a hosted session below. If your group is ready, compare pickleball venues for court hire. Six council parks also have dedicated courts you can use without booking.

Brisbane Pickleball Club: across Brisbane

Brisbane Pickleball Club runs games across the city. Its venue list includes Albion, Coorparoo, St Lucia, Mount Gravatt and Inala. Come & Try sessions supply equipment and teach rules and scoring.

Non-members can book those sessions, and many regular games also have non-member places. Check your booking for the venue and game format.

Canadian player Michelle Chin named the club among her home courts. When she moved to Brisbane, she found local players friendly and welcoming.

Pickle Kit: Mitchelton and Arana Hills

Pickle Kit hosts northside games at two venues. Mitchelton State High School has covered outdoor courts; enter via 19 Turnbull Street. Hills District PCYC in Arana Hills has indoor beginner and intermediate sessions. Pickle Kit lends a paddle for your first three sessions.

Shaw Park Tennis Centre: Wooloowin

Shaw Park lists social games and Come & Try sessions. In a 2026 Spinal Life profile, Cory Mostran described playing with the Para Pickle Social Club there. He also helped introduce others to the sport at Sporting Wheelies in Milton. Check the current schedule if you want a para or mixed-ability session.

Hire a court for your own game

  • Pickle Kit, Mitchelton: Court hire is available at the high school.
  • Pickle Hub, Yeronga: Pickle Hub hires undercover courts at Yeronga State High School on weekends. Court hire includes nets, paddles and balls. Enter via Gate 8 at the end of Oakwood Street.
  • Heath Park, East Brisbane: The council's court list shows bookable multi-use courts at 48 Hilton Street.
  • Shaw Park, Wooloowin: Book via the venue's pickleball page at 128 Shaw Road.

Confirm the time, cost and equipment when booking a court.

Use a public court without booking

Brisbane City Council's court list shows six dedicated pickleball parks that need no booking:

  • Dash Street Park, Keperra: 32 Duggan Street (one court).
  • Perrin Park, Toowong: 14 Josling Street (three courts).
  • Amazons Place Park, Sinnamon Park: 60 Thomas Macleod Avenue (two courts).
  • Joachim Street Park, Holland Park West: 87 Marshall Road (three courts).
  • Sheriff Park, Wakerley: 45 Habitat Drive (three courts).
  • Greenway Esplanade Park, Parkinson: 30 Greenways Esplanade (three courts).

Closer to the city, McCook Park in Newmarket and the Turbot Street Underpass have multi-use courts. Other sports share those spaces.

The council list does not say whether nets, paddles or balls are supplied. Check the setup before travelling to a park court.
