About this event
The Blackall 100 is a trail running event staged in Mapleton on the Sunshine Coast hinterland, bringing together runners for a challenging day on the Blackall Range. It offers three distances — 100km, 50km and 21km — making it suitable for experienced ultra runners as well as those taking on a shorter trail race.
The course is known for its rugged terrain, steep climbs and sweeping hinterland scenery, with runners moving through subtropical rainforest, ferny sections, tall eucalypt forest and scenic waterfalls. The event is positioned as a qualifying race for the Western States Endurance Run, adding to its appeal for serious trail athletes.
Race day is scheduled for Saturday 17 October 2026, with all distances starting and finishing in Mapleton. The event has a strong trail-running focus and is designed to showcase the natural beauty and demanding terrain of the Blackall Range.
