About this event
Coastal Classic is a 30km trail run through the Royal National Park, starting in Otford and finishing in Bundeena. The course follows the Coast Track and is known for its varied terrain, including rocky sections, sand, beaches, cliff tops, bushland and rainforest.
This point-to-point run is scheduled for Saturday, 5 September 2026 and offers a challenging off-road experience with significant climbing and descending along one of the most scenic stretches of coastline in New South Wales. The route features marshalled aid stations and time cut-offs, making it a demanding but well-supported event for experienced trail runners.
Runners can expect a course that showcases the natural beauty of the southern Sydney coastline, with steep climbs, exposed ridgelines and remote sections that are not normally open for public access. The event is a popular endurance challenge for those seeking a tough coastal trail run in an exceptional bushland setting.
