About this event

The Geelong Running Festival on Sunday, September 20, 2026, introduces Geelong's inaugural Marathon, complemented by a Half Marathon and a community 8km event.

Run or walk traffic-free streets of Geelong, passing iconic landmarks like Kardinia Park while enjoying stunning views of Corio Bay and the Eastern Beach foreshore.

The Marathon and Half Marathon courses are certified by AIMS and measured to World Athletics standards for precision and quality.

The weekend features kids' races—a 800m for under 5s and a 1-mile for ages 5-12—plus an all-abilities mile on Saturday, welcoming runners of all levels.
