About this event
The Geelong Running Festival is Geelong’s flagship running event, set on the scenic waterfront and streets of the city, with its first-ever marathon headline race. The programme includes a Marathon, Half Marathon, a wheelchair Half Marathon category, an 8km community run, and Saturday events for kids and all abilities runners.
Runners can expect traffic-free courses that showcase Geelong landmarks, including Kardinia Park, Corio Bay and the Eastern Beach foreshore. The event also features a runner expo, pacers, a post-race party zone, and charity fundraising opportunities through Grassrootz.
Course certification is promoted as AIMS-certified, and the event is designed to suit both competitive runners and community participants. Pack collection is scheduled across the lead-in days, with races and activities spread over Saturday and Sunday.
