Join the legendary **Great Pyramid Race**, an exhilarating trail and mountain challenge ascending the peak of Walsh's Pyramid. This iconic 12km full race pushes runners to their limits, with options including the Half Pyramid, Race to Base & Charity Fun Run, 3km Cross Country, and 1800m junior road race.

Born from a spirited challenge between two local cane farmers in a Gordonvale pub after a hard day's work, the event gained official status in 1959 as part of Queensland's Centenary celebrations. What began as a wager has evolved into an annual highlight, drawing elite athletes and drawing crowds of up to 8,000 spectators with its festival atmosphere, entertainment, and community spirit.

Test your endurance on this formidable course—records stand at 1:15:34 for men and 1:32:06 for women—amidst a vibrant celebration of fitness and local heritage.
