Basketball Tasmania brings its free Hoops & Games session to Penguin Basketball Stadium on 6 October 2026. Girls aged 5–11 can try basketball in a small-group setting led by female coaches, whether they are brand new to the game or already play.
Sessions at Penguin Basketball Stadium
Ages 5–7: 8:30–9:30am; 8–11: 10–11:30am
The program mixes skill-building activities, team challenges and gameplay. The organiser also invites parents and carers to bring sneakers for a Girls vs Grown-Ups finish. The individual age sessions vary in length, so choose the time that suits your child.
Joining in
Entry is free, but registration is required and places are limited. Girls may join a different age session to attend with friends or siblings, subject to availability. Use the registration option on this event page to select a session.
