About this event
The Hounslow Classic is a weekend of trail racing in the Blue Mountains, based in Blackheath and set across the Grose Valley Wilderness. The event is known for steep climbs, technical terrain, sandstone cliff tops, canyon trails and sweeping valley views.
The 2026 event runs from 11 to 13 September, with the marathon on Saturday and the 17km race on Sunday. A children’s race is also listed for the event weekend.
Runners start from Allview Escape in Blackheath, with courses that make the most of the area’s iconic trails, including cliff top sections, canyon track and rugged high-country terrain. The marathon is listed as a 43km race with around 2500m of ascent, while the 17km course follows the scenic trail between Govetts Leap and Evans Lookout and through the Grand Canyon track.
Entries for the 2026 event were scheduled to open in early January, and the race is organised by SingleTrack Events. With its tough climbs, dramatic scenery and challenging mountain trails, the Hounslow Classic is a standout event for experienced trail runners looking for a true Blue Mountains adventure.
