Hughenden Rugby 7’s is an annual social Rugby Union competition in Hughenden, North Queensland, bringing together teams from across the region for a fun, community-focused weekend of rugby and rivalry.
The event is open to all communities, and no previous rugby experience is required. It is designed for anyone keen to get a group together, travel to Hughenden and enjoy a lively weekend on and off the field.
The weekend traditionally begins with team sign-on on Friday, followed by competition day on Saturday. After the matches, the action continues with a barbecue and evening entertainment, making it a popular social event as well as a sporting one.
With a trophy on offer for the winning team, Hughenden Rugby 7’s combines friendly competition, outback hospitality and a strong community atmosphere. It’s a great excuse for mates, clubs and local communities to come together for a memorable weekend in regional Queensland.
