IRONMAN 70.3 Cairns is a long-course triathlon in tropical North Queensland, held alongside the full-distance IRONMAN Cairns event. It features a 1.9km swim, 90km bike ride and 21.1km run, bringing athletes to the Cairns region for a fast, scenic race experience.
The event is based around Palm Cove and Cairns, with the course showcasing coastal and urban surrounds in one of Australia’s most popular endurance-sport destinations. It typically attracts individual competitors, relay teams and aquabike entrants, making it a major race weekend for both seasoned triathletes and first-time long-course participants.
