Join the **Mateship Run** in Currumbin, Gold Coast this **Sunday, 8 November 2026**, for a heartfelt community event that honors **Remembrance Day**.
The race features a symbolic **11.11km** distance, commemorating the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month.
Participants can tackle the 11.11km course **solo** or gather their mates to form a **3-person relay team**, combining legs of 6.31km and 2.4km to complete the full distance.
For those preferring a shorter challenge, there is also a **5km** run and a **2.5km Junior Dash**, ensuring everyone can be involved.
A timing mat at the **10km mark** allows runners to compare their pace with traditional road events.
All proceeds support the vital work of the **Veterans Support Centre** in caring for our servicemen and women.
Set along the stunning Currumbin Creek, this day is dedicated to camaraderie, remembrance, and community spirit.
