About this event
Take a quiet, mindful walk through bushland in Croydon Hills as part of Maroondah City Council's four-week Term 4 wellbeing program. This calming series is designed for people aged 16 years and over who want to reduce stress and anxiety, support better sleep and improve their overall wellbeing through gentle movement and mindfulness.
A Four-Week Mindful Walking Series
The program runs on four consecutive Fridays from 13 November to 4 December 2026, with each session held from 10am to 11am. Participants are encouraged to attend all four sessions to receive the maximum benefit, although attending every session is not compulsory.
Walking, Mindfulness and Bushland Calm
Guided by meditation teacher Angela Harris, participants will learn simple mindfulness practices while enjoying a peaceful walk through beautiful bushland. The sessions explore how it feels to live in the moment while connecting with the body, mind and surrounding environment.
Who It Suits
This program is suitable for people aged 16 years and over. Participants should be comfortable walking short distances on gravelled or grassed pathways. Sessions are planned to take place in most weather conditions and may be moved indoors if required.
