About this event
Nepean Triathlon is Australia’s oldest triathlon, first held in 1982, and the long-running race returns to the Sydney International Regatta Centre in Penrith. The signature Nepean distance is a 1km swim, 30km cycle and 8km run, with the event also featuring additional race options across the weekend.
The 2026 event is scheduled for Sunday, 22 November 2026, with race activities centred around the Regatta Centre’s warm-up lake, transition areas and Western Flat. The venue has been the home of the Nepean Triathlon since 1999, making it a familiar setting for one of the country’s most established multisport events.
Known for its fast, flat course and strong community atmosphere, the Nepean Triathlon suits both experienced triathletes chasing a PB and first-timers looking to tackle a classic Australian race. The programme also includes Super Sprint, Sprint, Classic and Aquabike events, creating a full day of racing for a wide range of ages and abilities.
